What's the difference between a wine bar and a restaurant with a good wine list?

Traditionally, in wine-and-food pairing concepts, food comes first and the wine follows. Therefore, a restaurant should have great food & a wine list to compliment the menu. A wine bar, however, can step outside of that tradition.

Wine & Tapas

A wine bar is where you go to try new, different &, frankly, esoteric wines. Great food is a plus, but food may take a back seat to an interesting and diverse wine list.

At Vines Wine Bar & Tapas, we strive to provide you with the opportunity to try wines you wouldn’t get to try every day!  Our tapas dishes are specifically designed to pair with wine, so we would argue that it’s hard to decide which takes a back seat...the wine or the food!  We have more than 80+ wines by the glass, lots of flights, and a Tapas-style menu that lets you pair different wines to each "small plate" you might want to order.
